The countdown begins!

Two weeks from today our family will be in Disneyland! We are all so excited to go and Dave and I have been wanting to take Trevor since he was 2 so this trip is something we've been waiting for. Trevor is way excited to go and whenever we see Disney commercials on TV he starts to talk about when we will be there. I can't wait to see the boys' faces when we enter the park, go on rides, watch shows and see the characters. I think it will be a nice trip for the boys since Logan will be at home with Grandma. They have both had a few troubles adjusting to having a new brother and feeling left out so to have a special trip just for them will be good. Trevor said to me yesterday, "Mom, you always do things for Little Champ, but you forget me." How sad is that? We were making his bed this morning and I told him thanks for helping and he said, "I love it when you talk soft like that." Why does my 4 year old have to remind me how to be a good mom? It's just a little hard after not many hours of sleep to be happy and cheerful all day long....if only this baby would start sleeping through the night!

The little things

It's amazing we had time after getting ready for church to actually sit and take pictures of the boys. Well, we do have the 1 o'clock meeting time so that helps. It's been a month now with Logan in the family and we are totally all settled in and back to normal....just kidding. It's no surprise how much a newborn disrupts daily life and how one little person can make doing every day things so much harder. They are just so time consuming and then add in 2 more boys and I think I spend most of the day feeding kids, changing diapers, cleaning up their messes, stopping fights, putting down for naps (the best part of the day!) and a million other little things. But there are things that they say and do that make it all worth it. Like when Trevor says, "You're so beautiful mom" to me all of the time and Colin will just stare at me with his big blue eyes as I am laying him down for his nap and play with my hair, or when Logan smiled at me for the first time today. What sweet boys we have and how nice for the little things because we need them to get through the tough days.
